After traveling as a family for two weeks, it was a delight to finally unpack, unwind, and enjoy the comforts of a well-equipped house. Villa Franica’s location was fantastic, right on the beach, which provided refreshing breezes, especially when it was too hot to stay by the pool. We also loved having a beautiful walking track right at our doorstep. One day, a massive storm rolled in and created quite a mess outside. To our surprise, we woke up the next morning to a spotless yard. Whoever cleaned up must have done it during the night or very early in the morning, as we never saw them. We were extremely happy with our stay at Villa Franica.
The villa was in a very quiet and peaceful location, which added to the relaxation of our stay. However, it did mean relying on Ubers to reach restaurants and other attractions. This wasn’t a big deal for us, but it's something to consider.

A great location by the beach. The nearest supermarket is a ten minute walk away along the sea front. Uber is incredibly efficient and cheap so you pop into the old town in Dubrovnik whenever you want (although the journey can take 20+ minutes if the traffic is bad). There's a lovely beach bar (Ponat) a one minute walk away and some fancier hotel beach clubs/bars/restaurants (Coral/Copacabana) another five or ten minutes walk after that.

The villa looked just like in the photos, if not better! It was spottless and had all the facilities you could wish for. Beds were comfortable, there were enough showers and toilets and everything worked flawlessly. The highlights were the outside areas. We enjoyed the pool and the sunbeds and loved having breakfast together on the terrace. Everything was very private but you were just a few steps away from the beach. The location was really nice, outside of the crowds of the Old Town but just a short drive away. Erika our hostess was super friendly and accomodating and answered every question we had. We also used the shuttle service from and to the airport and both times the drivers were really friendly and on time.

Gorgeous house with all you need. Amazing views of sunset. Helpful friendly staff.
There are a a few restaurants nearby but you need to get ubers/taxis into Lapad or to the supermarket if you have a lot of shopping. The beach can be noisy at the weekend.

The villa was just perfect to our group of 8 friends. There was plenty of room inside and many different sitting areas out side to make our holiday really pleasent. The cute small beach front of the house was our favority beach. The villa is really private but the old town is just a short taxi drive away. The host was really friendly and always available. Can’t wait to go back one day. Only small minus was the barbeque grill not having gas. But as the service was really good, it was fixed immidiatly.

Everything about this location is perfect, close to Dubrovnik, but secluded enough, with it's own little beach to be a haven of luxury and tranquility. The place comes fully equipped, including two kitchens, one by the pool for the summer life. Our hosts were extremely attentive to our every need and went out of their way to make our visit extremely enjoyable. I would strongly recommend the island boat trip that they are able to arrange. There is very little to fault this idyllic property. It can be a little difficult to find but that is just a minor problem.

This home was beautiful, clean and safe. The concierge service and all communication throughout was impeccable. I have never stayed at a better rental home/apt/building etc. The aditional joy it brought all members of my trip was unexplainable. I would stay here 10 times out of 10. This is a must rent if you are in the area. The place was amazing and made our trip that much better. I hope to visit again in the future.

Villa was absolutely beautiful and very well equipped.
It is located right off a beach and has several restaurants within walking distance.
The old city was easily accessible by bus and by uber (the price was comparable if you have more than 3 people per car).
If we have an opportunity to visit Dubrovnik again we would definitely stay here.”

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC, AND WE HOPE TO GET BACK AGAIN!
We rented Villa Franica for 3 nights in June 2011 (late June) and decided to hold our wedding reception and the party here as well - we did not regret this decision! :o)
We were 9 members of the family living here and really enjoying ourselves - the rooms are bright and comfortable, the villa modern and spacious, the pool delightfully tempting (and a luxurious necessity) and the service impeccable. The pool became a natural meeting point for the people, where we could dip our feet late in the evening and play some guitar. The villa (and the pool) was cleaned every day, by really nice staff. We loved the location as well - quiet area, but just a short walk from the beach and the hotel area. Proximity to the Old City was not important to us, but the area has frequent bus departures which makes it easy to just hop on and visit the Old City. Although we had rented the car and the scooter (motorcycle) for the duration of our stay (the villa has a designated parking spot), we've been using the busses a couple of times without any trouble at all.
We had the honour of using the villa for our wedding - we were around 60 people from different parts of the world (mostly Norway) for the reception and everyone really enjoyed themselves that night. The representative for this villa was amazing, and everything seemed to run smoothly in cooperation with our wedding planner, catering company, entertainment etc.
The only thing we regret, is not making our stay here longer. Maybe next time then! We would really recommend the villa, whether you are a family or friends, singles or couples.
Some details:
- images of the villa provided on the internet are matching the reality
- such a wonderful detail: everyone gets own slippers and bathropes in the villa - we were walking around the house in these, it almost felt like a spa vacation
- the two double rooms with on-suite bathrooms are sharing a large balcony (seaview)
- single room and one of the double rooms on the top floor have windows, while the other double room on the same floor has a private balcony (gardenview, backyard view)
- all rooms have tv and DVD, and AC.
- don't leave any non-waterproof items on the grass around the swimming pool (the sprinklers turn on during the night!)
I HAVE NEVER EVER BEEN TOTALLY WRAPPED IN SUCH A SINCERE CARE AND ATTENTION
It is not only for the true 5-star ambience that you will experience at Kazbek. It is not only for the feeling of being a really precious guest, that you get once you step out from your taxi. Not only it is for the cosiness, comfort and serenity of the place. Though it should be said that you can really get lost in tranquillity at the lounge terrace or by the pool. But most of all - it is such an excellent place because of the team! Being a very sophisticated tourist I have never ever been totally wrapped in such a sincere care and attention in any other place!
I TRAVELLED WITH MY FAMILY - 7 PEOPLE ALL AND ALL, INFANT INCLUDED. WE STAYED IN BOTH THE KAZBEK HOTEL AND VILLA FRANICA FOR A MONTH. ALL THE PROPERTIES (AND OUR RELATIONS WITH THEM) WERE MANAGED TO MEET SUCH A HIGH STANDARDS OF HOSPITALITY THAT SURPRISED ME AND TOUCHED MY HEART.
Whataver your issue could be, be it touristic hints, when-and-what-to-dos, or a real problem - be sure to get the most commited help you may imagine.
All the people I met - Vinka, Pave, Alisa, Djeni and their colleagues - are great professionals and truely good people.

A MEMORABLE HOLIDAY

We have arrived home safely and are now just reflecting on what a lovely time we had in Dubrovnik. The villa, the service, the day on the boat, and the perfect weather made for a memorable holiday. Pave and her team have mastered customer service; being appropriately attentive, but very aware of the need for privacy and space. I will certainly pass on the word about Villa Franica!
